Super efficient contact tracing and testing. Remember they've had plenty of experience with SARS and MERS over the last two decades. SARS-COV2 is their third coronavirus outbreak in 20 years.

Correct, but I think you will find that countries that experienced SARS outbreaks had the daylights scared out of them by MERS, even if it did not get to them.

As you get older you’ll realise that some people will catch a cold and die. Nothing new here. You have to die of something, if it’s the Chinese flue, then so be it. That’s life.

This could be one of the reasons... - NOT being in the WHO, and therefore needing to rely on themselves for first-line action. !

Interesting to see the UK's supposedly 'world-beating' Covid ap has proven to be much more useless than our ap.

Maybe YOU should do some research before making your "Claims"

NO Taiwan in this list Mate.

Since 2012, MERS has been reported in 27 countries including Algeria, Austria, Bahrain, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Islamic Republic of Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Yemen. Approximately 80% of human cases reported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Cases identified outside the Middle East are people who were infected in the Middle East and travelled to areas outside the Middle East. On rare occasions, small outbreaks have occurred in areas outside the Middle East.

I didn't mean to sound rude to Evo, and I apologise for that. There is a reason Taiwan didn't have MERs.

The reason Taiwan is not in that list is because it learnt the lessons from SARS in 2002-3 and was able to adopt the measures to prevent MERs coming in.
It also did well to suppress the 2019 SARS-Cov 2 outbreak in China from exploding in Taiwan back in December, when China first warned of an outbreak. Hong Kong and Singapore also acted early, based on previous experience.
