the ADF had to drill holes in body panels to get access to some of the areas,
I've seen endoscopes in use during some inspections on some vehicles and those aqis guys have found areas in landrovers that can collect dust that not even I knew existed...
I believe their theory is "if dust can get there so can seeds."
I see, Your vehicle looks Ellis worthy , Begs the question, why do you Brits build such capable looking vehicles if you have no where to drive them. Your also probably going to want to be sure the cooling system is in tip top shape, you probably dont encounter the same ambient temperatures as here. Your going to be working the vehicle harder than its ever been working before with not much forward motion.
Plenty of overlanders ship into AUS....worst case you’ll have to pay for and additional clean before being cleared. Not sure of the cost.
Yes reputation is AUS is tough but it doesn’t seem to stop others.
I’m planning an overland trip and shipping the car back to AUS and cleanliness is the least of my worries.
maybe I'll bring the Iveco

First thing I thought of after seeing the intended port of landing.
Ellis is located in a leafy outer NE Melby suburb.
Never driven it, not really my interest, but had a squiz at the western entrance whilst doing a fish job just down the hill (Hoddles?) awhile ago. 12 years?
Even though it looked like a nice country drive to take your new GF on in your new pov pack 3 series beemer with a picnic rug and a nice bottle of champers, the clues to its true place in potential Pommy lying 'did Ellis' were obvious.
Seasonal track closure......... no probs, gate smashed and a side track to boot, must be worthy of attention.
If the intention ends up doing renting / borrowing get a LC, take pics if you do Ellis and post them up. Especially if done at night after a bit of drizzle with a few other LC's.
Here's a brief trip report from the past:
Ellis Track (warbt Trip - Hard) 15/16 April
