GLM!
Some of my family live in Michigan and my cousin has a girlfriend (absolute sweetheart) who is an African American. Last time I saw her (several years ago), she told me that for as long as she can remember, they have called a certain type of white American female a 'Karen' - usually to mean a busy-body. The term has recently spread to the wider community. Will we have to change the name 'Karen' as well because it is offensive? Just asking for a friend!![]()
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.

Some questions. Are some writing the term in question down and the asterisks are appearing? Is that because of a swear filter thing? That same filter that marks other words, generally deemed unacceptable or offensive or unnecessary on a public forum, disappear behind a veil of asterisks? Or is that because you are using asterisks to manually blank things out? If it is not a swear filter, why the asterisks?

A very quick google of the Danish term reveals that it's "neger" and there have been plenty of calls for its use to be abandoned as racist. Some argue that the English translation is actually "negro", which is barely better.
Some African-Americans use the word amongst themselves, apparently to reclaim its use, but that's wildly different to someone who's not African-American using it.

How is not being able to use racist terms inconveniencing you?
I'd suggest that if you, or someone close to you, was subjected to racial abuse your views would change rapidly.
FYI, there was a car running around Melbourne a while ago that was registered using an offensive Japanese word - the registration was pulled when VicRoads became aware of it. VicRoads has a multi-language list of offensive words.

Subjected to quite a bit where I’ve worked over the years.
Reverse racism is as rampant as any other.
The treatment of all persons equally is important and simply doesn’t happen.
I’ll take everyone on their merits regardless of race, colour or creed. And if your a **** ****, then you’re that regardless of where your bloodline originates from.
What really ****s me off though - is people of any type, hating on people and being offended on behalf of others.
