"But what about all the jobs " they will cry.

"No Probs, we'll get all those part time Uni students from Queensland to do them on their days off"
I've started to wonder if a robot couldn't do mail deliveries, shouldn't be even half as difficult as a driverless car, as mail box heights, sizes, numbering are all pretty standardised. The mail is already sorted by robot readers, so just use that technology on the other end to read the mail for delivery.

You'd be happy to clamber indoors covered in cobwebs, dried leaves, dog turds, ciggy butts etc to say to your indoors "I just got knocked arse over head by a Mail Robot at the Letter box?"

If you could even say that with a mouthful of envelopes?

A good idea Rand, but it might pay to put it on the backburner for a year or or four until they try & sort any bugs out.

You really don't want something that fires every letter in it's magazine/storage to the very first box it arrives at like a Vickers Machine Gun.

Who actually does send letters these days anyway? I haven't posted one for years & only receive online parts & then not often. E-mail & phones do me & phone is no charge.

Some of AP's charges are sky high anyway.POSTHORSE1935_3426705k.jpg

Our local postie who is a serial offender when it comes to misdelivering mail and has not only dyed her hair blonde recently but she listens to the radio as she travels around on her electric trike. Not sure if the hair recolour or the radio distraction is to blame but she manages to stuff things up regularly.

    hair blonde
There is your answer Arthur & the additional distraction of heavy rock just makes it worse.

Now, why not suggest she plays Mozart, whose music is supposed to calm people & in her case may help with concentration. Weeeeeeell it's worth a try.
