Maybe scrub that idea. A dylsexic Postie? That is just what everyone needs. Not.
That's basically what I did. No letter box but I do have a PO Box. I don't get any junk mail at my property and very very little in the PO Box.

If anybody does send mail to my street address, AP will RTS it.

I can’t find anything that says you are legally required to have a mailbox but there are plenty of rules about them...

So I can’t decide if the postei can drop them on the ground or not.

So I can’t decide if the postie can drop them on the ground or not.

We came here from a Postie delivd. box area to an area which you either collected mail over the counter or paid an Annual rental for a box.

Worked fine with a few mishaps over the years, mail in wrong boxes etc mainly. Then the people who lived on the premises( Non AP staff) decided to Sell up & shut the business. AP took the boxes away & moved them to the next village, Elderly Bloke there I believe was overwhelmed with all this new extra mail, couldn't cope, & flogged the joint off. He had denied having a few parcels but when I showed up with a print of the AP advice saying the parcels were deffo there, he couldn't find them for all the **** in the back room, we decided to give him away as we had to go out of our way to visit his sh'ouse. We did find the parcels.
We now have a PO Box at a town we go to frequently & not out of our way. The odd hiccup, but nothing drastic so all is now well, until the next time.

We still can't get a street delivery & we are only about 7km from the outer burbs of Adelaide
Makes you feel like we are living in the 18th Century. Still, it is much more secure this way & no scrote is going to pinch mail.

Our address is 4/1472 there address is 4/1274. It is the same with SmartTrack they are always leaving cards for failed deliveries in our door for this other co. The last time I cleaned out our box there was a cheque in there this company has been chasing for almost 9 months. I have contacted AP about the mail man being dyslexic & it is not my job to deliver the mail for them .but still keeps happening . This has been going on for over 10years . I once took the mail back to the post office with everything highlighted & it was back in our box within 2days.
I love it, a dyslexic postie! I think mine has spatial awareness issues, as I get a couple of L-R mags a month, now the mailbox is large enough for them to fir inside flat, but he often folds them in half or doesn't push them all the way in, especially annoying in the rain as they get soaked.

Yep . Know about that , Our mail box is 350mm X 450mm X 450mm High , the whole front of it hinges up & is easy to see that it dose ,but no he has to fold Mag's & stick half in slot ripping plastic bag so mag gets wet when it rains. & any thing that won't fit in slot he dumps on footpath or we have to pick up from PO.

Yes it is a good place to be these days. I don't mind at all especially if it keeps one safe from NSW. I think the 1800s would have seen a Postie on a horse ride up to one's front door & hand deliver mail. Only problem there would have been that the Horse **** heavily on the newly painted front verandah.

Excuse me, while I need to go & sweep out the Stables.

    Ah well, that's life.

I reckon you could have a Tea Chest & they'd still miss the hole.

I like your thinking Inc. China Post perchance? I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it is.

Still, it might run better with a bit of Chinese efficiency?
