Yeah, interesting. Wonder what design/compound is in those Yokohamas?
Probably also means that they've got a nicely designed suspension with little tyre scrub during movement.

    Even more noticeable on motorcycles.

We are on our third Subaru XV and I am so pleased with the tyres....above h/t spec , bit below a/t spec...that I tried to purchase them for my Ranger and found they are not available on open market. The current tyres , Yokahamas , are very good in all aspects of use.

I'm not sure what might happen when tyre replacement time comes around , as the previous XV , on a Bridgestone oem tyre similar to the Yokahamas , has been onsold to son and shows no signs of requiring new tyres for some time. Actually I think the 1st XV which was onsold to our nephew is still on its original tyres as well.

If more manufacturers did complete suspension tyre packages I believe it would be for the better.
Correct,as said, an on road vehicle, other manufacturers do it as well, its not something new.

Completely different situation to a heavy duty off road vehicle, which I believe the Grenadier is.

Although for some it may be only used around town.

Personally, come to think of it, I do not care much that they have made a specific tyre. Good on them if they can get those pesky *CAP folks of their back and get the car through safety and emissions. Most people who are going to use the vehicle as a real 4x4, what I believe the aim of the vehicle is, will replace the whole lot anyway.

If it turns out that this is just another plaything then well, I'll be disapointed perhaps and move on. I get that modern brakes and modern cars need certain things but 16" is still the most commonly available tyre around the world. I get that 17" is probably reasonably available in .au but I was looking a bit further down the road

For me, I am judging the vehicle on it's perceived image of a defender replacement and how it is being sold. I was hoping it to be a "better", stronger, more reliable defender replacement and no 16" might not be a big deal but it is simply the first real penalty I give the car. Still excited to see the rest though!

    Cheers,
    -P

Just reread and noticed my typo, the most commonly sold size is 17".

You can get tyres in basically any size you want these days, just been through this getting 18's for our patrol.
Would everyone be happier if this thing came with 31x10.5x15's?Tyres on the Grenadier

No. But 33x10.5x15 would be a really good option.

I think the old VN Commodores had a badge saying "Radially Tuned Suspension" which my mate thought just meant they ran radial tyres?
