It is AUD 1.87 here at the moment, and that is low compared to normal pricing!

When we go on holiday as soon as I lock the back door and get in to the Defender and start it up my holiday starts.
A friend's mother was like that, she retired to a little seaside town, I don't think she'd ever learnt to drive, she would ride her bicycle to the shops, and she'd go on holiday for a month and just pull the house door closed, not lock it, and tell the neighbour's she was going away. I asked if she had keys to the house, and she said she probably had been given some when she bought the house but had never used them!

Tonight the temperature is to range from -4 to +1 degrees centigrade, depending on where your are.
The weather presenter then said that it will be colder on Tuesday night with temperatures going as low as -7 degrees centigrade.
It is to be dry up until Thursday when some wintry falls are expected.
She actually relays this information with a smile on her face....

Get rid of that weather girl, get one who will give you warmer conditions.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I like the weather girls, especially when they turn to the chart and mention "high pressure zones." I think I might be looking at different "high pressures zones."

This morning at 9.45 am the temperature in the work van read -2 degrees centigrade. At noon it read 0 degrees and at 3.00pm it read 3 degrees. It is dropping again now as evening comes in. It was a very pleasant cold day as there was no breeze thus no wind chill. The grass was white with frost, any pools were frozen and the gravel stuck together.
The forecast earlier today on the radio was giving night temperatures of -6 degrees for Friday night with a ground temperature of -10 degrees. Why the projected ground temperature was given got me wondering. Maybe it is for people who like to garden by moonlight. Still at -10 degrees you would need a jackhammer rather than a spade to penetrate the soil....
