We're all hanging on the "kids don't get long covid",the adults have been vaccinated and hoping there's no long term damage.

While the 12+ are eligible here, my nieces and nephews in the UK have not been able to get the jab yet, so it's going to be interesting to watch. It has certainly kept the mother in-law quiet.

Who knows indeed, she could be looking over your shoulder as we speak.

Various folk who we knew were very fortunate to kick the bucket when they did, as we cannot begin to imagine how some would cope with this stuff if they were here today.

The good news I just heard is that Quaintarse is opening up OS earlier than planned & so are the beauty salons. That's good really& while I don't need to go OS, my perm is looking really crap
    & needs some attention.

I think James shares your sentiment.

Yes. I'm sure James would love to open him up, if his hair wasn't such a mess.

This is the source of the above. https://borsche.de/res/Vitamin_D_Essentials_EN.pdf

Bottom line / 'Take-away' is.... Vitamin D levels worldwide are (1) DifFERAnt everywhere... what is regarded as "adequate" in UK, would be treated in Japan !

And (2) Where-ever, what is described as 'Normal' or 'Adequate' looks like being way too low. Especially in light of humans being able to easily acquire '40' ng/ml just from sunlight, in less Modern cultures.
The grand paradox being... places like Spain and Portugal are so hot, that the locals stay out of the sun... and get less sun-vitamin D than the Poms !!! Both were, from memory, hit hard in the 'First Wave'.

Vit D benefits are also seen in surgery infection rates. Again, higher = Safer.

Is that a rhetorical Question or a mispelt Statement?
