Then again you may be one of the "lucky" ones who only get a sniffle or hopefully buggerall. I hope so.[bighmmm]

just had my booster
went with the Pfizer this time as the original shots were AZ
i would have gone Moderna but they were out of it there.
as before, no side effects of note so far..
around Bribie Island is loaded with cases now so i am laying as low as i can, so to speak...
woolies on the island is way short of staff and it is affecting what they can do apparently
lots of other small shops are shut as staff are home sick
some much for lockdowns being evil....
Doc mentioned he spoke with 10 plus new cases today as I was left with the hordes of booking calls[biggrin]. A few of ours are in hospital not many happily.
The Local Pizza xmas party shut the place with everyone sharing[bigwhistle] Ditto for two other business here.
I made a dick out of myself. My vax order came before we were open. ( I had put dates on the orders two weeks ago promise) a few hours of calls got a re-delivery this morning ( thank you DHL)
Expecting 600 +200 kids. Three trays of vax and two tiny boxes arrived. Dopey me assumed the little boxes were vax diluent. Called in a bit of panic and send pics of the delivery. Found the two tiny boxes were 200 5-12 vax! Same size as my sodium chloride boxes fooled me.[biggrin]
Driving around for almond croissant for my kids birthday - Failed- 6 shops all closed at 7am this morning. Bakeries normally open ?? The car que for Covid testing in Burwood and Doncaster was WOW plus.
croissant fail had a quick supermarket visit to get some alternatives. The Shelves seemed rather bare. Not stressed until we get hundreds of covid cases in my place with the kids next week. PPE will be double duty stuff- Its bloody hot inside all that guff[tonguewink]
Lots of businesses suffering here from a lack of staff due to isolating. Aldi are running on restricted hours and have bugger all on the shelves. Woolies not so bad. At least with the new regulations its mostly just a week off after the RAT so hopefully we'll start to see some people coming back online next week. Its actually better logistically to test positive and you are back on deck in a week in most cases, close contacts have to be tested a couple of times and then there's still a likelihood they could have it.
Regards,
Tote
Using the RAT to self test is a good concept in theory BUT there will always be a cohort of people that even if they get a positive test result will ignore it and front up to work regardless.
It only takes one person to bastardise their RAT test and front up to work to continue the spread of this virus AND cause a continuance of staff shortages.
