I recon that he has been in the game long enough to be able to see the writing on the wall and knew when to pack his bags for home.

Why would you stitch up a cut when all it needs is a band aid, why take aspirin for a headache when all you need is to drink more water
My doctor advised that if i have an underlying condition or are susceptible to the flu, I should get vaccinated

    Isn’t “FLU” short for influenza
Flu (influenza) - Better Health Channel

Maybe the media story I read got it wrong about France
Just proves you can’t believe what the media reports☹️
And if going by your version of “FLU”, maybe we can’t believe the government eitherCovid Mk llCovid Mk ll

Whether or not you think that you're susceptible to the flu, man flu or whatever is irrelevant - Covid 19 is a new virus and no-one has any immunity to it until they've had it (and survived) or had a vaccine. Being generally in good health is irrelevant in the absence of immunity.

Like the Spanish Flu, Covid-19 appears to affect some age groups more than others: with the Spanish Flu it was young people, with this one it's anyone over the age of 50 or so. An unvaccinated person who's older than say, 50, is at high risk of illness and mortality, and even more so if they have other health issues - and as the US has discovered, that includes obesity.

"Flu" is influenza, but most times that people say "I've got the flu" they don't, they've got some variant of the common cold. As I said, influenza is a serious disease and not the common cold.

BTW, influenza isn't "the flu", meaning some form of the common cold: the last time I had the actual influenza I was literally unable to stand up - it's incredibly debilitating. And I was young and very, very fit.

Those countries are highly vaccinated and/or have vaccine mandates. France isn't "getting on with life", they have the same vaccine pass requirements that we have, but are apparently relaxing when masks have to be worn outside.

Yes, unfortunately what we normally call "Flue" is usually, imho, a bad head cold. You still feel really **** though.

Apparently, when you have the "real Flue" you know you have something that
makes you feel like death (not that I have been there at all, yet) although it could be a happy release according to some. Refer post WW1 & the deaths that caused.

Sure, different times, different medications & Clinical treatments etc.

Never did say I wasn’t susceptible to influenza, as you have stated and my doc has said, it will affect different people in different ways and keeping healthy won’t stop you from catching covid, but it will help to fight it

Is just allowed to walk out of the airport - I thought he had to go into 14 days quarantine or can he just take his own little time to wander around visiting a few places before ending in quarantine - sounds like WA has not learnt the past mistakes of the east where lot of infections arose from lazy routines to get from the airport to the place of quarantine.
