You try being on their "couch" & having that medieval stretching rack applied to you. You really believe you are being separated from your body. It was done in a proper Room & not in a medieval Dungeon too, with other lads not hanging on the wall in chains & flickering lamps.

It gets me how they do all these things to you without the aid of a Scan to guide them.

As it turned out my prob at the time could never have been fixed by Physio & required Lower Spine Surgery to fix it.

A 1" incision, clear the stuff out that was jamming it against my spine, stitch me up & has been fine for poss. 50 odd years.

    EDITED.
There was a time that If I'd had a gun I may have topped myself, the pain was soooo bad, & I recall coming out of the Specs rooms while indoors fetched the car, sitting on the high Blue-stone city gutter & crying my eyes out & I have been told I have an unusually high pain threshold.

In the process of trying to have this fixed up before the Rack, I was subjected to a hand held gizmo that sent weird electric Shocks deep into my back.

That didn't work either but they still want to charge for their experimenting..

Today I know what caused it. Loading rubble into a barrow, scooping it up doing a U turn to drop it in the barrow. Barrow should be on the end of your swing & scoop & drop in the same direction. But who knew that back then? Not I .

Ouch Plus Des. As a walking/running experiment it scares the pants of me I may again break some of the titanium reinforcing I have.

Keep moving mate. Staying still causes so many other problems. Pain/discomfort are just an obstacle to overcome mate.

back on Covid. WA numbers ticking up in places I wish it wasn't.

Some of you might like this review on Mask use and preventing Covid. An evidence review of face masks against COVID-19

    They work

But what would break Titanium? It'd be the bone that would let go first Shirley? A few dabs of 5 minute Araldite & bob's you uncle. Away you go.

It sounds like you had a very, very, lucky "escape" off the bike back then, (what was it about 4 or 5 years ago?) & I bet you are still saying the odd thank you prayer to some body even today.

The olde "Use it or Lose it" plan eh?

After we all became energy conscious a lot of my work was "Double Bagging" existing PVC clad aluminium duct work. Bugger of a job once installed but you had to disconnect one end & slide the oversized sleeve over Then remake the joint..

Duct became available as Standard Woven Foil clad duct & later the standard was 50mm of insulation Previously a thin & sketchy 25mm.

Today you can seem to get duct of all pretty colours of skin but I don't know good it is. Looks nice in a showroom though.

Arap. that is interesting I but never heard a complaint but Mobiles did arrive some years later so who knows what some old Clients are putting up with. Maybe they simply change rooms?

Seems to vary from phone to phone but when I was working from home a couple of years ago I could barely conduct a conversation in my house. Was also an issue when we were using mobile internet as our main internet connection because the ADSL was so bad: I stuck a booster on my window to boost the 2m to my desk ...

Did I read you incorrectly? Are you meaning metal flexible duct or sheet ally foil laid around inside the roof space & stapled down? That would really kill signal strength & be like being inside a Metal Box.

It's actually bubble wrap with a metal and mylar skin on it - so, kind of like wrapping the house in aluminium foil. Yep, it turned the house into a Faraday cage.

Edit: and it's in the walls and under the floorboards. There's normal sarking in the roof but also triple layer foil and bulk sitting on the ceiling.

Yep a Faraday cage alright. I hope you had an outside TV antenna/s or you would have been really stonkered.

Titanium Screw bent and snapped from metal fatigue is common and I did it so well. The date was easy. Helping gels and water for a first time Marathoner 2019. 2 years and a few weeks from lucky day Des

Pain Spine, hips ankles no mater is pain mate.

Long Covid issues are just the same in my book. Lung, fatigue and similar scare the crap out of me as I get to see people with them from having Covid over a year ago. Not paranoid but happy to put a mask on very very well while at work and while in close contact in doors even now. The use it or lose it is my every day Dog was a bit of a anchor at 10km run tonight. Hope your back is manageable mate. If not Make it so!
