Do you know if there is a good site which publishes the daily numbers for NZ like the Covidlive.com.au site does for the Australian states?

Chris is pulling the NZ data manually from a csv file but if he can link to a website which is updated daily he can automate the production of the graphs.

At present the Covid Live site is using the John Hopkins data for NZ but this has errors in it.

Unsure if there is a site he can automate uploads from. You could look through this website as it is a database of notifiable diseases in NZ. Public Health Surveillance He may well be able to register for database access. Ministry of Health data on the public facing website references that this site is where they get their data from daily so there may be a way to access this.

I only use the Latest updates | Unite against COVID-19 site as it is updated daily after the presser. Only problem would be that other press releases are posted here (new developments etc) not just the daily numbers release so Chris would have to manually open the releases and read the number.

Edit: Only site similar to the Aust one I can see is COVID-19: Current cases | Ministry of Health NZ

To be clear, opening up shouldn't equate to life pre-COVID. We still need the health measures that help to control the spread. Conservative change is important.

I don't deny that there are many challenges such as protecting children but what we have to do is find a path forward that accounts for these challenges, not ignore them.
    Cheers,

Cheers Windsock - Chris is pulling the data from here:

    https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/...e-demographics

There is a csv file at the bottom.

At present he has been unable to fully automate the process like we see with the Australian plots.

(Which by the way now looks real bad for Victoria - the estimated R-eff has gone above 2 with no new lockdown measures to trigger short of 14 days home isolation for all in hot spot LGA’s).

The "Gladys Remix" vid has been removed a couple of times from the forum because it contains swearing and references to socially unacceptable content.

It's all very well NSW and VIC saying that "We Have to live with this virus" because of the munumental cockup of lockdown lite in NSW and the enevitable spread from this disaster into VIC making this new delta strain unmanageable in those States.
But what of the other States that HAVE managed to keep this delta strain at bay/under control, At the moment they don't HAVE to live with Delta at all and at the moment they are in no mad rush to open everything up just because NSW says that 70% is the magic number.

YES Every State needs to up its game with vaccination But that won't happen until there is enough vaccine to do the job and this isn't the case at the moment.
This 70% target that is being flouted as the magic number by NSW may be politicaly popular But what of the covid long cases that will haunt the medical services for the next few decades because of this overzealusnes to open up/water down restrictions, A very sort time view of the long time game there.

IF NSW and VIC want to open up at 70% or even 80% and fill up their hospitals/grave yards then that is their choice But DEMANDING that the rest of the States blindly follow suit is wrong on so many levels.

    Covid Mk ll

Whilst NSW hit a new record today, Gladys stated that she expects they will hit their peak in the next fortnight. The rate of reproduction is stubbornly sitting above 1.25 and needs to come down to 1.

Cross checking this with the daily projections by Chris Billington, shows this is possible. Chris is projecting a peak within 2-3 weeks, but as has been stated many times - this is dependent on people following the rules.

Whilst the peak may be 2-3 weeks away, total case numbers have a long way to go and will most likely pass 100K in NSW this year.

    https://chrisbillington.net/COVID_NSW.html

With a slower rate of vaccinations, VIC has the potential to regain the top spot for the most cases in Australia. Today’s projection looks very alarming. Best not to look…..Covid Mk ll

The race to get vaccinated is well and truly on.

I do wish though, statistically they would break the data down further.

Sounds like he should have purchased 2XXL or even XL instead of 4XXXL jocks from where ever he buys said jocks from. Shoddy Elastic IMHO.

They should lift their game so Joe Public doesn't have to lift their jocks, usually in a confined Toilet.

Sorry, got a tad carried away there for a Tick. Was too good to miss.

    CARRY ON.
