Yeah, that's what I was watching. I'm going to have a large Scotch and switch the telly off so I don't have to watch the front bottom anymore.

Mrs had her third today and I'm trying to get one booked for next week. We both got the fizzer for our doubles, and she was given the fizzer as a booster. I thought the booster was supposed to be different to the first two.

AFAIK, "boosters" are just more of the same.... Cynically, one might observe that it's a 3rd attempt to make the previous 2 failures work...
Israel is having fun & games with rolling out a 4th ...and it's not having much effect on OMICRON... OK for Delta, but not O.

IF you must assault your sensibilities, you'd do a lot worse than checking out this pommy Physician Dr John Campbell.
Heart risk after vaccines - YouTube

This is just a random episode, and he does have a recent one on Australia.

He IS what I'd call Pro-vaccine, but not rabidly so... There's a good episode on Vit D.and natural sun exposure. Be careful of his clothing advice.

IF you need a rest from all this, this... worth it if only for the flame-front vision.
    Enjoy.

Work project. Only need to be there for a day. Was supposed to be in Sunday, work Monday, home Tuesday and then hide until the negative PCR comes back. Anyway, is what it is.

I don't have the time, patience, driveway or spousal permission for another land rover. It's very much a case of one is enough bordering on too much sometimes. Mind you, I could get rid of the Volvo to free up a spot, but then what would I use to buy parts when the Landrover breaks down again?

Anyway, if it was a landy I'd just get it shipped and fumigated at the border. 14 days quarantine and a PCR up the tailpipe and she'd be in.

It most likely will trickle in but it won't be a full on flood of infections like the scenario of the States that have opened up have seen.

At least with the borders closed and strict restrictions for new arrivals whenever COV19 outbreaks occur they Can be controlled because they will be minor and isolated outbreaks.

It is Far too late for some of the other States to have Any sort of impact on the spread of this virus because it has become far too widespread and the quarantine and close contact measures have been watered down so much that they are pretty much innafective now.

With the borders closed it WON'T spread like wildfire at all and it gives West Australians time to get EVERYONE fully vaccinated + booster shots unlike some of the other States opening up with only 80% of 16 year olds and over having their 2 initial shots which left a very large percentage of unvaccinated to face the onslaught of this virus.
