I have issues with a medical professional that is advocating to introduce a life threatening virus into the community regardless of his position in the AMA hierarchy.

Well you only have to look at AULRO as a good example of this.

One thing I do know, there are a lot of experts here that know more about Land Rovers and give better advice and support than JLR or LRA. Now that is a fact!

Speaking of facts and statistics - here is an interesting one (and sad one if you are male and enjoy driving cars).

Motor vehicle accidents account for 40,000 hospitalisations and 1,000 deaths a year - that is a lot. Males account for almost 2/3rds of this. But the worst thing is - around half of these hospitalisation and deaths are not the driver who caused the accident and yet we still allow people (and surprisingly males) to drive cars.

But this is where the misuse of statistics comes into play - Did you know that Toyota drivers are responsible for around 20% of all car accident hospitalisations and deaths? Disqualify Toyota owners from driving cars, force them to use public transport, and you would see a 20% reduction in hospitalisation and deaths. If total suppression is the goal then extend this to anyone who drives an Asian car.

I am joking - the stats above are real (maybe, sort of, hey do your own research) but this is how social media misuse statistics. I heard an anti-vaxxer nurse say over 90% of people with chronic underlying conditions are vaccinated and our hospitals are at capacity and full of them (yes this sounds correct). She goes on - this was her argument for why she did not want to be vaccinated - vaccinated people are getting sick (wtf!). And the media jumped on it and reported it - with no attempt to qualify what a ridiculous argument this was. 🤪

But that is just your non-medical opinion Trout. One would think as a medical doctor and head of the AMA there he would know what the risks were and were not...mmm.

My new office is in Collins Street and I went in yesterday. So, as it turns out, when you remove restrictions when there's a huge surge in Covid most employers, like mine, will simply tell their staff to stay at home until things settle down. Similarly, most people will exercise common sense and stay at home rather than go to, for example, the tennis. And as it turns out, people also haven't been that keen to go on holiday in the countryside or even just travel around: I went up to the west of the State last weekend and after Ballarat barely saw another car.
