My area of expertise is emergency management, not virology or immunology so I could only speculate. I'm tracking cases, reports, stories etc as part of the broader emergency impact.

But I do know people that will know. I will investigate.

One of the current theories is that the difference between the cases of men v women is due to exposure not immune response. Men are the majority of truck drivers and other types of workers that are more easily exposed

My personal theory is that men (particularly white middle aged men) get it more because they are more blaze about it and most definitely more arrogant. How many women do you see with their noses over masks for example. Round here it's only men as a rule that don't give a ****.

Women are also more likely to see a doctor if they have a problem, Most blokes tend to only see a doctor as a last resort.

He is doing 2 weeks quarantine at home.
He had to drive directly from the border point to home.
He said no one at the border had any idea what was going on or quite what they should be doing.
