As it appears a majority of Western Australians no longer give a **** (as evidenced by the persistently low testing numbers) we wouldn't know. Where it's going to show its colours is in hospitalisations and deaths, and we don't appear to be there quite yet. Still, the heath system here was cripped prior to the current outbreak, so it's only a matter of time.

We do have 2 things going for and one against us though. Distance, Population density and a dense population.

On a personal note, my old man is booked in for a lung resection on the 1st of March, so we're all hiding at home under the covers until that is done and dusted. Not scared of COVID as such, just taking extra precautions to avoid anything that might delay the surgery.

    Oi that's three things.

I see what you did there. For a touch of humor & play on words you suddenly thought you'd mention the mental ability or not of WA Residents.

Very good Brad. Yeah yeah, I get it.

My favourite memory was '......and we'll all be together in church on Sunday'.

That was in the US, the Sunday was Easter Sunday 2020 and despite all hopes the virus didn't 'just go away'.

Great news... King Canute eat your heart out ! WE are going to do the double-impossible... eradicate and starve out a respiratory virus.

Needless to say, we're going back to hard (er) borders and a masking mandate for 'any' indoors... throughout the whole State.

Yeah, don't ask, one "case" nearly trapped our Dear Leader in a supposed 'super spreader' (pub) event.... and about 9,000 PCR tests overnight... = a few hundred "POS" results and from that - here we are again.

How much is 9K PCR tests ?.

Happily, no one in hospital in extremis . Actually, no Omicron pts at all.

Anyway, here's some good news for those who enjoy a more academic approach...

    Good news Gav 110

The Premier also revealed that, based on health advice, bottle shops would be removed from proof of vaccination requirements immediately.

McGowans scare tactics never bothered me

I have been told of a many pubs and restaurants who don’t ask for your certificate and would have been for dinner if I wasn’t working so much and **** ups to attend

As for the bottle o situation
I have a stack of cartons that get replenished by customers as a bit of a bonus for going above and beyond what a regular electrician would do
Worst case scenario was send one of the apprentices in for the beer

As for when we get hit with the inevitable, it will be a bit of I told you so when I keel over from the covid, organ failure apparently, IC on a ventilator, years of repercussions la la la
Or my immune system will take it in it’s stride, who knows, but where likely to find out…………..sooner rather than later if the king, oops I mean premier keeps his promise

Twist could be to bring back quarantine requirements if the east coast has another outbreak, unless you have had your fourth shot.

Don't worry, it will close again two days after he returns from his defamation hearings with Clive. An unforeseen threat will emerge and the timing will be purely coincidental
