Not playing out as planned, powers used to change much more legislation than that pertaining to public safety from a virus.

Call it the illusion of democracy, and faux transparency.

    Or even a ****up?

    Or Air into the bloodstream?

    Can injecting air cause death?

An injection of 2-3 ml of air into the cerebral circulation can be fatal. Just 0.5-1 ml of air in the pulmonary vein can cause a cardiac arrest.

It made sense to me at the time but I did wonder if more people were jabbed earlier if it'd reduce the magnitude of the peak. When you re-phrase that "reduce the magnitude" into "flatten" it starts to sound all too familiar.
Its true but lies dammed lies and statistic is as well.

2019 July death toll and flu outbreak almost kept me in Hospital as the Rehab hospital was locked up with Flu. When I was wheeling about the place several rooms were NO GO ZONEs with out full PPE which happily at that time I did not wear

Expectation is flights in will donate it to us sooner or later Hopefully later

Back on Covid- A OMG with AIR AIR is Australian Immunization register. It was ACIR for years before that. Australian Childhood Immunization register. I knew the software was old. I know the staff in AIR do not have access to see what we can see, I saw a document today which was OMG can they possibly be that incompetent?

About to dig via my access to see if I am mistaken. IF not IT was NOT MY FAULT is all I have to say I recall the ATO software was disjointed and clunky. It at least had the right information I think! AIR may not for the kids! Going to get one of mine then pouring a scotch then digging deep while I finnish a very long day which might be a lot longer than it was planned to be.

After my "Your stock management number/s: STH-708617, STH-708618, STH-708619" done for AZ we do not have and Pfizer purple and Orange.

I figured it out. AIR calls a spade, shovel or pick a spade. We call it what they do when we order it Pfizer Orange 5 to 11 or Pfizer Purple 12 to very very old

    AIR called both Pfizer Comirnaty
we enter Pfizer Comirnaty for over 12 and Pfizer pediatric for the 5 to 11 year olds. I triple check to make sure everyone has the right one entered the right one as it is not that uncommon for me to be needed to correct a kid with a Pfizer Comirnaty entered.

I have sort of been wasting about 20 hours a week as AIR is recording Pfizer Comirnaty no matter what we do. Not sure if it is a issue at all as long as we do not give the wrong dose which we do not happily

FYI Pfizer pediatric is 1/3 the dose of Pfizer Comirnaty so they are both Pfizer Comirnaty. Entirely separate systems to stop us stuffing up and giving kids the full dose is needed. reporting it all as a spade is probably not a concern. Honestly was bothered a few hours ago. Yet again a few hours not paid for. The to do list is longer for it. Bugger but such is life Going to make it a fast 5km run in the morning screaming WHY at odd times Wang 42km next weekend for a chill out time for me

Not if, but when. Do you want it to spread now or later? And, it was in and spreading before the big reveal opening. It is life. Like most viruses it will evolve to get more transmissible and less serious in order to preserve itself (even in WA Covid Mk llCovid Mk ll). Cheers

News just in, it was already taking hold a few weeks before your Leader, declared he was reopening the border.

What helped it run rampant - the nonchalant attitudes of many over there.

Omicron is virulent, it got in as expected (pre border opening) and within about 4 days you had 1200+ active cases. From there it was destined to exponentially spread.

Latest NZ covid related numbers for anyone interested. DHB stands for District Health Board and is basically a hospital catchment region. NZ map in the link has these plotted out.

Covid-19 data visualisations: NZ in numbers | RNZ News

There is a discussion in the wider media about whether Auckland has peaked. This is seen in some of the graphs quite clearly. The rest of us are approximately 2-3 weeks behind them in numbers apparently. Some of the graphs has Australian peak for a comparative reference given the similarity of our social structure. It is interesting to note that the BA.2 variant of omicron started climbing then has fallen away with the BA.1 gaining top spot again. This is at odds with what is happening elsewhere, NSW incl if I read the news correctly.

Weather is still warm and we are enjoying a late summer but there is talk of the looming issues of covid, flu and RSV coinciding here over winter as we are now heading towards open borders for all and sundry who can show they are negative to covid at departure and then let loose on the place if shown to be negative on arrival. MIQ facilities are being reduced considerably.

Nature is powerful and the lesson is that vaccination isnt the total answer sadly...

Quote: "that COVID harms many people, even those without #LongCovid or hospitalization. COVID predominantly affects the *vascular* system (the blood vessels), causing harm to the blood cells & blood flow,t his has a downstream impact on nerves, immune system, & multiple organs, including the brain. Vaccination prevents against death, but not against long term damage.
