Yeah, not sure when it changed - only very recently I think and without making any announcement about it (for obvious reasons).

One of our staff was off yesterday as her partner - who's 70 - had symptoms - they went for a PCR test yesterday - and were asked for ID as proof of age - they were both amused by this as you can imagine.

They all had their 4th vaccination.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with my friend as I know that if his mother gets it she will die and if he gets it he will most likely die as well. He constantly exposes himself to Covid as he has to use public transport but thankfully has not contracted it at this stage but I am sure he will.

Our discussions have become strained as I always raise the issue - try to be diplomatic but the frustration is setting in and I am becoming more blunt - nothing seems to work. I suspect with their medical preconditions and no vaccinations at all, that they will both succumb to Covid sooner or later.

You can only do so much with people who, for whatever reason will just not listen.

A friend of ours of many years says (???) that the 2nd Jab gave here grief/ pain etc.
Therefore she won't have #3 but visits a Quack of some sort who obviously ****es in her ear & recommends "Snake Oil" etc. Seems that can fix anything.
She comes up with all different reasons why she won't apart from the above, so we are hesitant about seeing her & just have phone contact.

Her hubby is a Professional bloke (retired Anesthetist) & has had his.

A bit sad really.

I suppose they could have mistaken him/her for someone who'd had a hard life & in reality was only 23. UV, Booze & ciggies can do that it seems.

My first 2 jabs were AZ and I had absolutely NO after affects, My 3rd and 4th jabs were moderna and made my arm very sore for a couple of days I also had my flu jab which made me crook for 3 days (as usual).

A sore arm and feeling crook for a few days is FAR better than the alternative of getting a Full blown case of Covid or the flu and ending up on a resporator or in a coffin.

There are so many **** weak excuses from the selfish or cowardly anti vaxers out there unfortunately.

Commencing 19 July 2022, and available until 31 October 2022, two new temporary MBS item have been made available to support medical practitioners with treating COVID-19 positive patients.The two new items 93716 (for General Practitioners) and 93717 (for Other Medical Practitioners) will be available for medical practitioners working in a general practice setting to assess a patients suitability to receive a prescription for a COVID-19 oral antiviral treatment via a telehealth phone consultation lasting at least 20 minutes (25 minutes for OMPs). The new items are specific to services for eligible Medicare patients nationally who have confirmed their COVID-19 infection via a laboratory test (PCR) or by a Rapid Antigen Test. Got up in the Meeting with all the States and Federal types a few days ago. It started today. We used it today. It missed at least 20 over the last week or so at our place and two near by GP places.

It missed by that much as it does not fund home delivery from the chemist. I had faxed a paper script to a chemist so after work I took the paper to them. That is required for the old school paper scripts but not for eScript. I delivered the paper to check the antiviral had got to the person who needed it. Add I hate putting any thing in the post and paying for very slow delivery now!

Antiviral had gone home and I assume picked up by a not infected person. The young Chemist did ask if I was the person on the script standing very well back from me I assured her I was not the very senior person on the script.

Why do you think she was a bit paranoid? The Government (s) did not fund home delivery for the Covid anti virals. Some one else's problem right. There was 60 ish people in that Chemist. I wonder if any of them had a antiviral prescription in their hands

I know from more than a few chemists it is happening. MASK UP if you need to go into any place with other people and especially Doctors, Chemists and hospitals. Common sense is still un-common.
