Took much of the day yesterday, but I managed a telehealth appointment with a doctor (not my regular one, she only works Sat-Wed), but same practice, just after lunch. The prescription was delivered to the Chemist I usually use, and it was picked up by a neighbour - I only had to drive to the front gate (which was enough to put me in bed for the rest of the afternoon).

Just got out of bed and trying to decide whether I am any better. Maybe after breakfast.

Sorry to hear that you've got Covid but glad to hear that you've got good neighbours who cold pick up the antivirals for you.
Take it easy John and I hope & pray that you're over it sooner rather than later.

Yep, he was so sick he drove straight home, skipping many of the tourist things he planned.

We quietly put the newer SPIKEVAX Bivalent Original/Omicron BA.4-5 into my fridges.

" Arcturus Covid-19" or XBB. 1.16. "According to the WHO, Arcturus is similar to the prevalent XBB. 1.5 variant, but has “one additional mutational mutation in the spike protein, which in lab studies shows increased infectivity, as well as potential increased pathogenicity.”

While this may mean that it could spread more quickly, there is not any indication yet that it will lead to more severe cases.

“We’ve seen this in the past,” Paul Hunter, a professor of medicine at the University of East Anglia in Britain, said in an interview. “You look at the virus and it’s got mutations that should make it more virulent, but then in reality you don’t see that.”

Off topic diversion - which isn't.

Wanting a diversion from Same-Old. covid. rhubarb ?

Try this, sunlight study in Sweden, showing cardiovascular benefit... and the Covid bonus would be increased natural Vitamin D production, one of the most important factors in our Immune System function. - Y'know, the. 'thing' wot deals with infections and viruses. Like colds and flu.

I did a Brittney Vaxxed again

once more.jpg Nurse gave me her Covid Spikevax A.K.A. Moderna Bivalent Omicron BA.4-5 training certificates this morning before we started a mass FLU vax session -

    How could I say no?

Gave myself a Vaxed Badge and fronted up my arm. Nurse is insting again I take it easy on exercise today.

10 km moderate paced run, 25 push ups and 25 chin ups is a restriction I can cope with.

I wonder if the big stash of "Arm Yourself" covid badges will be collectors items one day

I recently had Covid badly, it was like two weeks of flu, I tested positive for 12 days, when I went back to work, I only lasted two days and then had to have two days off, glad I've had four vax shots, otherwise things could've been a lot worse. I had "covid brain" for a few weeks after that, where I was making silly mistakes and couldn't remember things.
