Remove the RCD from the gen in this application - an RCD is only required on the final sub circuits so you’ll run into dramas - the upstream (gen) RCD is usually the one that will trip.

I thought you might, but a Stand by Gen is a great investment. I used an ex-Telecom one from a Garage sale & the only prob is it is a cord pull start, but fortunately it starts fairly easy. Will knock out approx 15 Amps when required.

Any future one will be an Electric Start.

Having visited regularly since I was born, I'm not particularly enamoured with what CALM have done over the last 30 or so years. Then again, what would I know. I have a photo of me as a 4-5 year old riding one.
