    Ha ha...

Don't worry about your Scania autos mate, I have worked with quiet a few women (ranging in height from 5' to 6') who had no trouble handling
quad sidetippers carrying 196 ton payload. And some of the big triples carting 220 ton payloads.
Pulled mostly with Kenworths with 18sp Bushrangers. Mostly old T909s,C509s C510s etc....on some pretty average haulroads!

They never shied away from getting in and changing 315/80x22.5r's. And you may or may not know what they like to get off planetary drives..
In saying that, they actually had less flats, did less damage to the gear than some of the blokes who thought they themselves were 'Legends'!

I know who I'd rather hotseat with...

    Cheers..

With decades in the game, I've only met two women I'd rate and be prepared to employ as drivers. I don't doubt you're correct, but too often I've known females to refuse to check oil etc. or change a wheel, with the statement "I'm not a mechanic." To be fair I've also seen males shortcut walk arounds, arrive back in the yard with shredded tyres and generally lack mechanical sympathy. Woman do make good bus drivers, showing more patience and courtesy with good fuel economy.
Coincidentally, one of these women I met at BP Kewdale, she was a local.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

A lot of places now won’t let the drivers change tyres or do anything at all on the trucks. My mate does a roaring trade sending out one of his apprentices in his field service vehicle to change flats tyres because the driver isn’t allowed to.

They do the daily checks, but after that it’s straight to a Mechanics for anything else.

On the flip side, in the mines out here, they prefer the female drivers of the massive dump trucks. Apparently they have far more mechanical empathy for the trucks and they reduce the operating costs as a result.

Didn't he take his partner's daughter to the nail salon and wait for her, or is that version wrong?

No, no, no he definitely went to get his nails done, as that is the most other drivers see of him in traffic, his fingers curled over the steering wheel so they have to look good, also for when his horn is broken so he has to signal his displeasure with a well known hand gesture.

Had to get onto their technical support at one point, turned out we hadn't got the latest software ! Updated the software, re-programmed the stations I didn't want and it was OK for a while.

TV's used to be a simple device that you plugged in and they just worked for 20+ years, now I'm sure it's sending back info on everything we watch.....

Actually, yes, they are. Personally I would look at a few of those videophile sites to see which screen actually gives the best picture quality, not some saturated HDR that pops but bears no resemblance to the real colors and then never EVER set it up to connect to the internet

I own 2 philips 21:9 television which I sincerely hope will get to be 20 years old at least because I love that ratio. I never watch TV and use it purely as a monitor to watch movies on, which are 21:9 (or close to it) anyway. Unfortunately there are 0 manufacturers of screens like these today.

Doesnt matter what you bought Steve, that tech is already out of date. TV's are one of the few household goods that actually update, maybe paint too?
