It sounds to me like you have a width issue, not a height issue

Hmmm, that's an exceedingly stupid place to put a main beam dim switch. You must be right, then.

There are few things I like more than Defenders and mechanical analogue wristwatchs are one of them. I see Land Rovers as "analogue" cars and the rest massed produced quartz digital cars.

Funny now I think of it, the closer something resembles a Defender, even mataphorically, the more I like it. Aga stoves are "Defenders" as are Goodyear welted leathersoled shoes.

His belief is, (and i agree) that a digital you have to read. An analog u don't. With an analog display (specially clocks) you have a couple of thousand pictures stored in your memory which makes telling the time a shedload quicker. It's a quick glance n make the match in your head. Boeing did some test relating to this subject in the late 70's when a lot of aricraft instruments were moving to LED type readouts. Their findings confirm this theory.

    Cheers,
Absolutely correct - the latest aircraft instrumentation uses a large flat screen - with instruments displayed on it as analogue displays. For most purposes analogue displays are preferred.
When digital watches first came out I had one or two with digital display, but quickly went back to analogue.

Personally I don't like the dash. I think the current dash looks a lot neater. It does give you a tacho and gets the aircon out from underneath which are pluses though.

Why are people surprised at the side air intake? It's been there since the Tdi.

I wish the dealers were able to give out more info. I have to make a decision in the next couple of months whether to keep mine (most likely) or take out a new lease at the end of the year.
Prado is colled by ducted air from the gril area that then feeds up ducts under the bonnet. Hilux has a scoop on the bonnet.

    Yeah, it's Drooper.

I loved the show, especially the Danger Island segment.

I still look at the eyball vents and see them as instraments. And I would like an inclameter and a compas in the rig. The extra buttons like the current ones would be handy also for lights and things.
