Kids these days have it so easy, when i was a kid, i had to walk 9 feet through shag pile carpet to change the tv channel...
CARPET! YOU HAD CARPET? OMFG! I had to crawl across rough sawn floor boards fixed down with Horseshoe nails to get to the Crystal Set to try & hear Marconi & then only after I had walked 30 miles each way to get the nails from the village Blacksmith

Crystal set? We had to make do with baked bean tins and string - and we had to scrounge empty baked bean tins from the garbage bin too!
