Since the track of the Series 3 is 12cm less than standard gauge railway, of course it has spacers to get the tyres squarely on the rails!

I used to see a Td5 Ute with those retractable railway wheels from the train between Wynyard and Circular Quay stations just as the train exited the tunnel. Must have been 20 odd years ago.

I regularly saw a 130 similarly equipped round here. These days they use a variety of Toyotas - equipped with large 'pedestrian safe' bumpers that the railway wheels retract behind.
