Haha. Yep. I downsized a about 4 or 5 years from a 21 foot Seafarer cabin cruiser. Excellent move for lure fishing to go to a 4.5m side console. Fat little vessel too. Crazy that a power boat licence allows (used to anyway...not sure now) the holder to skipper up to a 122 feet (approx) powered vessel. How is the motor work going Tins? Cheers

One thing I'll say; took a Cruiser tray load to the tip today. Where I live it would have been $125, even though it wasn't full. Here, zip.

I noticed that as well,a load to the local dump, van completely full $12.00.
Down in NSW,any change out of $150.00 would have been a surprise.
Had to take a small amount of asbestos down to the dump in NSW,all bagged properly,Bla,Bla,that cost two arms and a leg.
Should have done what everyone else does and dropped the bags in the wheely bin.
EDIT,In NSW,i remember taking a trailer load of scrap steel, roof sheets, rolla door, etc, then had to pay to put it in their scrap steel bin.
I would have been better off giving it to the guy at the local scrap place.
Here any scrap, steel, cardboard, etc is free to drop off.
One thing though. Coming from Melbourne I find that the tap water here is nigh undrinkable. Not as bad as it used to be in Somerset Dam, where the lazy council worker used to pop up to the local treatment plant and dump in a bag of stuff every month or so, but still bloody awful. First thing I did when I got here was get a new cartridge for the water filter… well, almost the first thing.![]()

Water......drink, the two should never be used in the same sentence! I won't even use it in my radiators.
Seriously, any treated water in Australia is safe to drink. Taste may vary due to the source of the main ingredient, people get used to their local brew, considering that to be the benchmark
