    Wagga Wagga Tracks and Camping

    Hey Guys,

I am in Wagga until March and was looking to do some local touring/camping and wondered if anyone had any suggestions of tracks or places to visit.

    Look forward to your recommendations!

    Cheers,

Whilst I haven't been there myself, I'm told that Livingstone NP to the south of Wagga is good for a few hours' visit.

My initial research suggested Livingston, but I can only find that it has walking trails and mountain bike tracks.. The NSW Gov guide says a 4WD is necessary, but I cannot see where.

Maybe a better map would provide an answer.

    Thanks though.

My son Justin has been there a few times. He says that Hema maps show the tracks but Google shows them too. Go in via the main entry past the gun club. The park is closed when wet but otherwise just tracks with rocks that could be hard on tyres, passing through areas of quite different forests. There are some camping spots but no facilities.

Thanks for that tip, will have to check it out in the next week or two.

I was in Kosciosko (?) NP last weekend and got out to Buddong Falls/Hut and Paddy River Dam. Very nice and a good drive.

There are some nice summer drives up in the higher country, eg Khancoban to Jindabyne or Cabramurra & Kiandra areas.
