LR NZ is just as bad. We had a very troublesome Freelander and we even went as far as to take legal action against LR NZ and their dealer. My lawyer said don't bother, he already had 3 cases at that time and was not winning. 3 cases from one lawyer - it just goes to show the whole international organisation sucks.

On the bright side, we love our new to us 2000 Rangie Vogue - AND we have had no problems other than a blocked sunroof drain that I will get to if it ever rains enought to p** me off.

It's sad that his type of behaviour continues! The attitude of "the customer is king" still hasn't reached Solihull yet.
When I had massive trouble with LR garages and agents several years ago (LR was still under BMW-ownership) I contacted customer support in Solihull directly and had a nice if fruitless exchange of letters with them over the course of several months. I got an extra service, free of charge, at one of their franchised garages but it doesn't need to be mentioned that it wasn't worth going there as they did even more crap as the ones before. The courtesy car (not even a LR) I got after firmly demanding it came with an empty tank and rolled basically on slicks which gave me aquaplaning at less than 50k and my then next door neighbour (who was policeman) said he would have fined me instantly when he had cought me in a traffic control.
Next day I picked up my Disco again and never went into a Landrover garage again (except for Southside LR in Brissie who treated me very nicely!).

My recommendation: never buy a brand new Landrover and avoid their dealerships and agents as the devil does the churchyard. There are plenty of independent but specialised suppliers and garages to choose from.
But nevertheless, mate, I feel sorry for you, but get over it, give them the finger and drive your Landy past them to the independent mechanic next street, that ****es them off more than anything else. Good luck, anyway!
    Johannes

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

Trust me Jojo I want to go elsewhere but I need this stuff fixed first and I refuse to pay for a paint job that LR ruined and if I keep it, it will never see Land rover again.
