The shafting from Land Rover continues

For those of you that dont know my Discovery has been suffering abuse from Land Rover Dealers since new and the saga continues. My car has now spent 8 weeks of this year in getting apparent work done to it and quite frankly my vehicle has been ruined by Land Rover and they dont seem to give a flying **** about it. The root cause was water leaking in and some craizing on the bonnet, well stupid me thought well its under warranty get it fixed so I sent it to Land Rover. Well that was the biggest mistake I ever made, I should have just put up with it I mean it doesnt rain all that often out here and the paint will probably go off anyway. Now what has happened is there is water leaking in from somewhere else there is now a loud wind noise as you are driving and when it was in the panel beaters getting buffed (obviously thats how you fix a ****ed paint job is to buff it) they parked it beside another car getting painted white and now my Discovery has white spots all over it inside and out that dont rub off as they have now cured. Now the weasely motherf!#$ers at Land Rover Australia have said its the dealers problem not theirs and the dealer says its waiting for approval from Land Rover to continue.

All the white dots in the top photos are overspray, You will also see that there is basically no paint on the edges of the bonnet and that there are scratches divots and dull surfaces all over it. This bonnet had been resprayed by Land Rover in March this year by Honeycombes and had been buffed by Tony Ireland in Townsville and these photos were taken around 12 hours after it was dropped off after being fixed. The chunk of paint missing under the headlight was done while it was in Townsville and they thought that they might just get away with returning it like this.

I want to know who in here would accept this as a job well done because quite frankly I think it is **** poor but I am the only one who thinks it is a problem because these idiots dont exactly seem to care that they have ruined my car and I have been told that Land Rover Australia cant do anything about it because that are only a supplier.

Quite frankly they can all get ****ed as this will be the last new Land Rover I ever own because I cannot justify this much drama for this much money, the stupid thing is you get better service at Hyundai

As a land rover owner and lover of the marque its upsets me to hear stories like this because land rover will never compete with toyota or nissan or anyone else for that matter, regardless of how good the vehicles are if they cant offer good service and fix someones car without f#$cking it up like they have done with discos.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles mate, it must suck, especially with LRA being so unwilling to help. Matt

Its a continuing story with LRA , and you can't help think no matter what or how good their new models are their chit attitude and service in time will have serious repercusions` on this great marque in oz.

    Cheers Sumo.

Yep, couldnt agree more, the D3 is one of the best 4wds in the world, if not the best, at the moment and people will always sacrifice on the vehicle if they get better quality service from another manufacturer. Until this is fixed and people can get a vehicle serviced efficiently and properly in more locations land rover sales will suffer as a result. Matt

Or...you could give the story to one of those current affair programs, they just love stuff like this.
