"Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has said its UK factories will remain closed until next week after the carmaker was hit by a cyber attack at the end of last month.Production halted at the plants in Solihull, Halewood and Wolverhampton with workers sent home following the hack, which came to light on 1 September.
The company, which usually builds 1,000 cars a day, said some data had been affected but it is not yet clear who is affected - whether that's customers, suppliers, or JLR itself.
Staff have been told not to come into work until Wednesday at the earliest, which means more than two full weeks of global output will have been lost."

SubscriberLast week I had to exchange a wrong part from the LR dealer I use for parts when I want genuine; I had ordered a R/H threaded tie-rod end and they had supplied a L/H threaded one. The usual parts bloke was off sick. His stand-in told me he couldn't get onto the LR system to order the right part. Once I had told him the correct part number, he was able to order and get the part, but it seems their online catalogue was shut down.
