I bought an Old 1972 LJ Torana 1300 - I wish I had found a six sylinder version though.
Cracked a piston while still on my L's and had to put another motor in. That is one type of car I never want to own again

1977 264 volvo sedan with a 2.7l alloy v6 engine which blew the head gaskets so I put a 4 cylinder engine in it and it went harder. Was a very advanced car for its day electric windows, air conditioning, 4 wheel disc brakes, auto, velour seats (blue), i put cd player in it. It would out handle and out stop all my mates commodoes etc. I sent it to the scrap yard when i bought my rangie.

1st car to call mine was a 1952 Fargo ute dragged out of the bush to be restored when I was 16, still unfinished 20yrs later
1st car to buy 1974 plymouth satellite Sebring Plus, 400 high performance with auto - bought from brother for $300.00. Became bit of a paddock basher, needs full restoration, parked at the farm.
1st car when I got my licence, a 1972 AMC hornet, Smurf blue (nicknamed the smurf mobile) straight 6. Could hold its own in a drag up until about 70mph than it would get its doors blown off. Was handed down from my brother, was still owned by dad though.
1st car I bought and rego under my name was a 1968 Dodge dart, 4dr, 318 auto. 2 tone white and rust. Bought from repo sale for $125.70 including taxes.
1st motor bike (excluding dirt bikes) 1982 GPZ 305. (sold)
1st 4wd 1952 Willys jeep - 283 with 3speed chev trany with an additional overdrive - bought just before moving to Oz.

Still have them all + numerous spare and other bits and pieces except for the motorbike.

1st car in Australia - 1982 Holden, which my girl friend blew the motor up in so I took possesion and put in a rebuit motor to travel around Australia when the folks came out to visit - legally was still the girl friends. Traded it off for a 1992 Navara dual cab 4wd which then got sold to buy the 02 Disco.
1st Motor bike in Oz 1992 XJ 600 Seca II.

Other than the one motor bike, the holden and navara still have everthing else.

It was a very nice Town and Country,,,
untill we painted stripes across it,,

    really big fat red ones,,

um, it ended up with the National Park Rangers,,

who , it seemed, had a policy against unregestered cars being driven in the park,,

we took abit of catching though---
