G'day all readin these types of posts makes me mad why did ford ever get the chance to buy out landrover it's had me stumped ever since it's happened . I just hope that they soon realise that if they dont lift there game peope wont deal with them anymore and to make matters worse all the good honest dealers are being closed up by ford bastardary ive never been a ford fan and never will and with what they are doing to landrover is just depressing .

Why didnt G.M buy landrover at least they would have had a beter go at it than ford and maby we would have had a 5.7L alloy v8 landy option wishfull thinking

    cheers

Maybe we can put together an equity partnership with Mac-Bank and have a go

I'll chip in a grand... who's with me???

....it's the start of the revolution!!!

Think about it - we could all have rights to design the post-2010 Defender - not sure if we will agree but it would be fun.

OK - so if we each put in a thousand - and Ford paid GBP1.8B (that's about A$4.5billion) in 2000 - say 50% appreciation in value makes the current asking price for the company A$6.75 billion...

...we only need another $6,748,998,000 !!!
    ...this is do-able...

So a third of the Australian population need to put in $1000 each...

Imagine how quickly a company managed by a comittee that large would go down the gurgler...

Back on topic - are there only 2 LR dealers in Perth??? I take it Barbagello's is the one near at the corner of Manning Rd and the Albany Highway?

And a 110 HCP with a trailer to put the cash in... That was 6 BILLION dollars.

A wad of 20, $100 notes weighs about a gram. Consequently that much cash would weigh about 3.4 tonnes!

And they are both owned by Barbagallo.

Southern answer the phone as Barbagallo Cannington.
