Well in that case I drove past there today (on the way back from getting the 110 registered in WA!!!), and I am sure I saw a new 110 there.

I meant bollocks to Southern not you. When i bought the Defender they were about as much use as a fly screen on a submarine. They were unhelpful and down right rude. When i went to looking for the replacement for the Disco i looked at a second hand Defender which was overpriced. I told them that i was tossing up between buying second hand or novating a new one through work. The sales rep got ****y with me and started getting rude . When i told him that with the fleet discount the new one was cheaper than the second hand one he told me to f**k off and hung up on me.

I'll never be going back there again. Worst bit is them and Barbagallo's are the same damn company so it doesnt really matter where you go in Perth.
I would be getting hold of Alf Barbagallo himself and have a chat. He is a fairly approachable guy and will listen to your concerns I reckon. Have met him in Kalgoorlie when he had a stake in that dealership. Southern are getting a bad reputation from what I hear. I dont think Alf own Southern solely but am not sure.

Volume could be a problem. A new Australian $100 bank note is .10mm thick. so 60,000,000 of them is how much volume?

    Hi
I found George Little(big bloke with pommy accent) at Southerns VERY helpfull and friendly when I bought BlackBetty. When ever Ive called in he always goes out of his way to say gday, even if he is with customers.
BUT IM A DISCO OWNER NOT A DEFENDER OWNER
Frenchie, try ALBANY Landrover, they advertise in GWN,I guess they are one of the few country dealers left, they also do Mitsi,VW and a couple of other brands if you have wandering eyes

Also you could try Gold City Land Rover in Kalgoorlie. They are normally very good to deal with and occassionally have new fenders on the show room floor.

There are quite a few Defenders in Kal now but I havent seen one in Gold City for a while. I also gather the dealership is shutting the door. Maybe the ford dealership is taking it on. I think Barbagallo owns this one too and the attitude there appears like Southerns. It seems professionalism in the sales leaves a bit to be desired.

From what I understand, Barbagallo owns ALL the LR dealerships in WA.

I hope you're wrong Brian!. If Gold City closes it's doors, then it's back to a two day hike to get a service!

Yeah, Barbagallo bought back Gold City after Raelene decided to get out. A shame because her and her husband were really nice. Would be a shame to see it close. I found them by far the best and most reputable car yard to deal with in Kalgoorlie.
They had a couple of second handies and either a new or near new one in there about 4 months ago before I moved down to Esperance.
LieutenantRover - where do I know your 130 from?? You dont work out at the smelter do you?
