Landy parts can be cheap, you just need to be resourceful, sure some fixes like a thermostat you dont have much choice, but alot of fixes can be done cheaper. Oil lines for example are the best example, i had two done by pirtek for the same price as one from land rover, and the pirtek ones will never leak. I fixed my brake vaccum advance pump for $10 when i was told it couldnt be fixed and needed to be replaced at a cost of nearly $450. Bearing etc should be bought from bearing suppliers not LR parts suppliers. I also ring every LR parts supplier in NSW when ever i need a part, just because supplier one was cheaper for one part doesnt mean they will be cheaper for the next. I remember when i needed new brake rotors for my commodore, the dearest price was $170 each the cheapest was $180 for both. It pays to shop around. Matt

That's near full retail from a dealer !!

I would have thought that the LR place at Silverwater would have been cheaper. Even I could have saved you around $40 .
Trivett - no one else had one. It was a couple of years ago. Prices on a lot of parts have come down over the past couple of years.
