Engines are 175 hp Suzuki four strokes. Still playing with engine height etc but currently doing 25 knots at 3800 rpm , 33 at 5000 rpm , can't get anymore as get cavitation when trim engines up. As just running in the engines haven't got a good idea of fuel consumption, but I'm guessing around 15 to 20 litres per side per hour at 25knots although the builder thinks it will be closer to 15 lph (it's a sailfish 8500 series .. see sailfish.com.au). Biggest problem at the moment is trimming up the engines to lift the bow without cavitating the props. I hope dropping the engines and maybe fitting permatrims will help, the builder seems to think so.
Many thanks for the positive feedback, but without the help advice and support on the capabilities of the 130 I wouldn't have been game to go so large !
I dont know how many of you keep comming back to look at the pic in amiration and amazment, iam so impressed.![]()

I'm not planning on altering prop pitch until I have the cavitation problem sorted. The engines need to reach 6000 rpm for max throttle and I don't want to overload them. Also I've not had full fuel, water , cargo , passengers etc for a four day cruise yet, so will wait until then to see what happens.
best of luck on that cavitations a bits.....
just out of curiosity have you seen the new "puller" type props and legs the yanks are working on?
