I used to buy Shell fuel until they changed to Coles Express, our Shell servo had real good takeaway food until Coles took over. Now the BP has good takeaway food so I buy my fuel there. On my 2 Month holiday last year I never stoped at any Shell servo's. I spent $3850 on Diesel(2800 litres)for 19,000kms.

I used to use shell but they changed the rules on my fuel card and wanted a $25,000 deposit so I let it go. I now use my Caltex card so buy 99% of my fuel there. It is to painfull to use an independent with my lease.

BP is generally more expensive Caltex has a chequered history for pump service on the Gold Coast.
I toss up between Shell and Mobil on price.

God only knows where our fuel comes from now, I'll stick with SA Farm Fuels and their 98 octane Bio-premium, at 12c\ltr less than the big boys standard 92 octane ulp. Just got to drive 30 K's to do it, is all. I like to drive my Landy.

    Shorty.

guys....guys......guys......i will tell why fuel is so expensive.......

you all know that australia has its own oil fields.....and produces its own oil and fuel.....etc.....

the problem is the location of the oil fields........
you all know where they are....the problem is the dipsticks are in canberra......

its the travel expenses to check the levels thats killing us at the bowser......

As I posted before - you are always buying BP fuel in WA anyway - even if you go to a shell servo. But they do make more money on fast food than fuel - so buying your fast food elsewhere would hurt them more.

BP probably made a whole $50-100 on your $3850 of diesel.
