    Defender tyres.

My Td5 has the original Grabber TR and at 65000klms they still have aroung 70% tread.
So for the 300Tdi I'm doing up I've put Grabber AT2s on and last weekend in the sand they were good.
They're not noisy on the road either.

Best "rubber" for a Defender? How about a condom to ensure that it doesn't breed.....?

    Only joking.....

    Let's see now..

    Demands constant attention

    New noises emanating every week

Leaves a mess on the floor regularly, leaks at the most inopportune times

    Yep that's a LandRover

Marek, I have a set of Cooper ST 265x75x16, thay have done 40k so far and show little in the way of wear, some cuts, some chips, no punctures, great in the wet on road, and as far as I'm concerned great off road....

There are many choices in rubber, each one will have it's +/-, as well as hardened fans.......ultimately, having a car set up for road will have it's drawbacks on the track and vice versa.........

Cut to the chase and set up two sets of wheels.......I'm putting my pennies away in that direction.......

At the suggestion of Tombraider I put 265/75 Mickey Thompson MTZ's on the 90. No complaints so far and they look very sexy with the side biters.

I'm running Cooper STT 265/75/16s - love them. Great in the dirt, excellent on road and in the wet (sipes make all the difference) and suprisingly good on beach sand.
