I still can't understand how some can go around with no idea,****ing everything up,and think they are good at their job.And sleep at night.

On the 29 of Dec I purchased another which looked pretty flash & modern & was White. On the 30th I noticed a 3mm 40cm plasticky tape laying in the "ENGINE ROOM"

Hmmmm sez me that aIN'T supposed to be there with 2 x Flash alarm lamps coming up.

So I reported this to the Canon boffins by e-mail.

Since then instead of offering advice I have got requests to( a) Copy the docket & send it to them re purchase date
Easy as eh? Since my printer is acting up craply I can/t see that being an option & also send them a photo of said cable/tape. Yer right! I have described it to different Canon reps but it isn't difficult ffs. 40 cm long x 3mm wide with a tiny spring on one end & nothing on the other. Easy peasy roight?

Already we are getting in to an E-mail war. Told them that they either send some bloke/woman out to check it over & fix it or it is going back in it's box for a refund.

    He says with fingers crossed.
UPDATE to satisfy my frustration. Sent the documented proof they wanted, although I drew the line as to how much sex per week I had,. That was the easiest question to answer = OOOOO No apology because the info they wanted was already on their website but nobody could be arsed to look. Talk about going around in circles!

Going by the names of the Reps that contacted me I'd hazard a guess even though the email addy says Australia, I'd have a safe bet it is in Manila. Anyway, let's see how long before AP makes contact. Wossat you say? Pigs might fly?

    SUN 7th.
Well I'll be blowed! AP has replied but got the message arse up.

They do have a website section for these things but the message instead of taking my message as per ACCC recoms thy have taken it as a Complaint & will start an investigation asap.

Didn't ask for that & tried to advise them of same but they may not listen. WTF! Oh well maybe an investigation, if they do proceed down that path, may sort out a few internal bumps regardless, & might be a good thing. Communication experts my arse.!

Ah, but I did teach my self how to copy from a mobile image & send by email in the absence of my printer. So not all bad. Thanks Canon Never needed to do that previously unlike some of you clever clogs here.

Yep Paul, it needs a few whistleblowers to take them down a peg or two.

    Not quite. 'faulty goods', but...
Replaced my deaded cheap ALDI Wireless TV headphones. Despite the earphone pads rotting, it fitted nicely and sound quality was good. Was, till it died.

So, 2nd hand Sennheiser 120 - II which sound fantastic, great range and.....driven by either LINE Out level OR earphone socket..

Three days later.... TV carks it, Power supply issue. MY 2008 Panasonic plasma, gifted from B.I.L, great pic and huge. 14 years is an acceptable life, so now scouting out catalogues / Sales / CHOICE etc., but I feeeeel it in my bones I'll make the wrong choice at this affordability point. At this place, few if any have (RCA) Line Out sockets.

Maybe I'll watch more YouTube instead.... of electric cars and buses self-immolating.

In my experience this applies most aptly to govt employees.

So, crimp connectors... I don't love 'em, but they serve a purpose. Well, not the ones I got from souper crap. They are fitting of that name too. All sealed up in a nice little compartmented box. They are hopeless, and destined for the bin. I remember when Bosch and Narva sold decent ones. And as for the actual crimpers,

I have some from Repco. They are better, but still not as good as what I used to get.
