    Supermarkets are jerking us again

For you meat lovers, due to the drought supermarket meat prices rocketed.
The reason is that there is a shortage of meat and thus the price must go up. It's supply demand you know.

Last night I was watching the news and they say meat prices are set to rise.
The reason is due to this good rainfall at present farmers are restocking, they no longer need to DUMP their beasts on the market for low prices, they can keep them to restock and get better prices later.
Something just doesn't equate, it the farmers were dumping their meat on the market at 'fire sale prices' then why have the profiteering supermarkets been jerking us again??????
I think I answered my own question. Supermarket profiteering!

It seems Bananas are the new economic benchmark.
We were asking for a payrise, ( EBA renewal) at work. the cost of living has gone up, high fuel prices etc.
The reply we got was Bananas have come down in price. GO FIGURE
