Cream 90 County V8 in Noosa

Talking to a mate today said he spotted a SWB County V8 parked in Noosa. He fell in love. It was cream with County (not Defender) decals.

He wants to know if any were imported or was this a private one.

I know about the V8 NAS Defenders sent to the USA but I didn't know if you could ever buy a shorty V8 in UK let alone here in Oz.

Do any of you Queenslanders know this vehicle?

they were made in the uk around 1985 to 1988 sounds like a private import as county is a uk spec

Back shortly after I got my licence in the mid 90's i looked at a imported V8 County at a caryard on Kelvin Grove Road, Kelvin Grove (which no longer exists). The owner had imported it from England but didn't have complience for it, was still going through the paperwork of it all. He had big plans of importing a heap but I don't know what happened in the end.

    Matt.

I know what happenned, there was almost no money in it, the government AND TRANS DEPT MADE HIS LIFE DIFFICULT and they stopped. That V8 90 was one of the first and I saw it in his yard at mayne in Bris and then in kelvin Grove too. Shame,
