Looking forward to hearing the full story Jeff!!!!!
Hope you didnt suffer from a TOJONISSOMITSO BLONDE MOMENT.
I made my own recovery points 1/2" thick plate with holes drilled in the ends, fitted to exsisting bullbar mounts with longer grade8 HT bolts.
You really need to loose that factory bumperbar, will allow better tyre size too.
Still got that headlight protector, was welding today so put it in a safe place to stop the sparks burning it!!!! up in Perth next weekend, may be able to drop it off.

They're both good kit, you can get them rated to upwards of 100t pulling capacity for unbogging rather large trucks. The Kevlar's really good. My wife buys these for work.

Yeh no worries mate we will be here will have Lift kit and Tyres done Friday and hopefully Bash Bar finished as well
    Am building Sliders next week
Will have it ready for Harvey definately
I went and got the Main bar for the Bash bar and it was slightly bigger than what Id discussed with my cousin so he had to re plasma cut the chassis mounts to suit the bigger size Bar

The pic i put above is a tree trunk protector, so yes they can be used as most have the same rating as an equaliser, remember the tree trunk protector still has to be a rated strap, it not only protects the tree but you as well

I bought a pair of recovery points from 4x4intelligence. I tried to install this weekend and found the following:

    a) After taking half the front of the car off, they are still not fitted.

    b) The wombat bar/steering protector sits on the outside of the chassis rails and thus if you want to keep dictates that the recovery points need to mount on the inside of the chassis rails.

    c) The existing holes in the wombat bar are too small and will need to be drilled out a little bigger to accomodate the supplied HT Bolts.

    d) They will not fit on the inside of the chassis rails without cutting the bumber bar on both sides.

    e) If you remove the wombat bar permanently then you can easily fit the points on the outside of the chassis rails and they should still fit with the bar on. Only downside is that you still need to cut a hole on the driver's side to access it.

ATM they will stay off until I purchase a bullbar which I need to do to accomodate the larger tyres I am getting which also neccessitates a suspension lift.

Oh, and I'll PM you about the CDL.
