my suggestion based on the expectation of above average rainfall panning out for vic (and NSW and QLDs above average rainfall) its a buy for Ag stocks... ASAP

watertanks were banned for public health reasons in Qld mossies and in Victoria was drinking water contaminated from material deposited on roofs from air pollution.

modern watertank construction has resolved the porblems about mossies and modern plumbing means it can be used successfully as non drinking water for flushing toilets, watering garden and showering.

government are stupid because they are composed of human beings and are elected by some even stupider human beings

yes we should all have water tanks, solar panels or wind vanes on the roofs to generate electricity and heat our hot water and yes we should all dump our grey water on our gardens but who is going to pay for the generational cost of installing them.

the theory that you need to keep damming rivers to provide additional water is dubious as you can achieve water savings by improving water waste management by fixing leaking pipes and water distribution networks covering irrigation channels to prevent water loss through evaporation and improving water efficiency around the home.

we can also generate or manufacturer water from desalination plants, waste water recycling plants so dams are not necessary solutions as they can only hold water when it rains and are only filled when it rains and are useless wehn you are in drought

again it all boils down to we have the technology but are we prepared to pay for it

So the tanks we were told that we couldnt have 10 or so years ago in our homes couldnt be used for non drinking water, the toilet or the garden back then. How bizzare.
I think i would rather drink water from a tank, than a re cycled plant anyday.
And you are right about stupid people voting in stupid govt's. I for one didnt vote for Brack's, but i think thats another issue isnt it.
