Locally Damaging Winds, Flash Flooding and Damaging Surf
For people in the South Coast, ACT, Southern Tablelands, the Central West Slopes and Plains, Central Tablelands, Lower Western, Riverina, South West Slopes, Hunter and Illawarra districts.

Synoptic Situation: 6:00 pm EST Tuesday
A low pressure system off the Illawarra coast should move southwards to be located off the South Coast tonight. It is then expected to move inland during Wednesday. Another low over the central Tasman Sea is likely to approach the southern coast Wednesday night.
Very heavy rain is expected to cause flash flooding in southern parts of the South Coast and Southern Tablelands districts tonight and tomorrow morning.
Winds are expected to average over 65 km/h, with gusts in excess of 90 km/h tonight and tomorrow morning in the South Coast, ACT, and parts of the Southern Tablelands districts.
On Wednesday the gales should extend westward and northward to include the South West Slopes, Riverina, Lower Western, Central West Slopes and Plains, Central Tablelands, the Hunter and higher parts of the Illawarra districts, while easing over the South Coast, Southern Tablelands and ACT.
Damaging surf conditions are expected to develop Wednesday, with waves exceeding 5 metres in the surf zone likely to produce significant beach erosion between Moruya and Gabo Island.
Blizzard conditions are expected in Alpine areas of the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes and the Australian Capital Territory above 1200 metres.
The next warning is due to be issued by 2am Wednesday.
