we had a hand full of nuts and bolts to get it sparking. it ended up blowing the thing to bits. shook the house and all. love going to my mates farm to do that sort of stuff

After 23 years our microwave (National) gave up the ghost last night - we must have jinxed it by saying how long/well it had been going.

Bushie, I and my folks have had good value out of Sharp microwaves. Theirs must be 25 by now. Mine is 10. After 7 the keypad began to look dodgy - then I realised it still had the protective sheet that you're supposed to remove before you use. Keypad underneath was A1 - still is.

Sorry for the highjack - someone had a loaded microwave held to my head.
