Well, Ho, how does mine translate- SALLHD0727BF567296
It is a 1986 plate County 5 door station wagon, Isuzu & 5 speed, plated as a "Motor Omnibus", and before you say it has 18 digits and should only have 17, it does have 18 digits and is recorded as such with the Dept. of Transport since first registration in Qld. The Register of Encumbered Vehicles could not check it as they say a VIN must only be 17 digits

Hi guys/gals, just for interest...
I have enjoyed using my 3.9 over the years, but reading all this chat about how hard they are to find set me to thinking about selling....
I haven't used it much for a while now and fixed costs being what they are... I could rereg my SIII for all the fishin and huntin use that it is needed for.
not so long ago I saw one referred to on this site that I think went for about $5k, and I thought: well then, for that price, mine can just sit here for occasional use, but it seems they are worth more than that ?
the Redbook values are not much use, and as has been said, thay are often unrealistically low for LRs... so
in plain speak - does anyone have an opinion of the worth of an 87 county, well used 270kkm, but registered & maintained, with almost new 265 BFG MTs on discorims, dual batteries, extra sill fuel tank and fresh water tank ???
any opinions/ideas appreciated
IMHO, $5k would be either a steal or a "project vehicle", see other thread on the $1500 isuzu county in Darwin...
$12k would have to be something pretty special in my opinion...
$8-10 for something pretty decent mechanically/physically... but you know the second you try to sell it everyone will say it's worth $2k![]()
You'll never get $2k for it,
I'll give you $1.5k delivered to my door with a bellhousing for an R380

thanks for the opinions guys - pretty well confirmed what I thought - I guess too, that when I think about it, coils are better than leaf springs for my aging back anyway
the topic just got me thinking...
regards etc
i guess mine is way under insured for 7.5k.
