I've done some consulting gigs over the last 5 years or so in the IT area for 'DNRE/DPI/DSE/Whatever the hell they are calling themselves this week', usually when they've gotten themselves in a bind.

Though of course, depending on what area of IT you are heading in to I may or may not be of use.
