Let's not forget the wind that brings the rain. And launches my bathroom roof out into the paddock.

There is a photo of it in my reply in the National Weather thread.

Ahh, what can you do. You ever tried to shower with out getting wet? So to speak.
Damned unpleasant showering in the rain.
Chuck a tarp over it until the wind dies down is about all really.

Then I might go out with the front end loader and see if there is anything left to salvage. Or just build me a bigger stronger bathroom roof.

    Hi there all

We have been receiving huge down pours in the southern Flinders Rangers over the past couple of weeks as well - and its good to hear others are getting it as well.

For example last week we had falls of up to 100 mm in one hour and yesterday another 42 mm in less than a day.

We need the rain but not all at once please.

    All the best

    Wayne

Just had another 11mm - in about five minutes, together with thunder, lightning and strong winds.

This morning there is another 20mm in the gauge, giving a total of 31 for 24hours or 44 for the whole rain event so far. Best we have had since June, and what is more, greater than the total for July, August, September and October. Everything looking nice and damp, hope there has not been too much erosion.

Rain is a good product, but packaged badly.

Also delivered to the correct address very badly!

Last night once again millions and possibly billions of litres of rain was delivered to Sydney and the coast. Almost all of it went into storm-water drains and out to sea.

Locally we received about 54 mm and my tank is now filled to overflowing.

But what really annoys me is that the Sydney Catchment Authority is planning new and better ways to steal water from the Shoalhaven River catchment and deliver it to urban enrichment, while the people of the Monaro and Goulburn where the water comes from are suffering the longest drought in memory.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

31.5 mm for all of Oct.

25 mm & only 3 days into Nov.

But a big high is coming, so it looks like no more for this week.
