Let me know if you don't buy it!,

The 94 soft dash Classic or MA series (as designated by VIN number starting SALLHAMM3MA) actually does have traction control on the rear wheels as well as the viscous coupled centre and it works quite well.

The air suspension can be completely overhauled for less than $1000. You should plan to do this as a matter of course.

The other things you have mentioned are just rats and mice.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

so its not a soft dash? or is it? if the fuse cover is missing I would think its an original not the later soft dash, as the incar fuse box on the softies is a big cover under the steering wheel - not the little 6x4 inch jobbie on the center console.

Still a VERY nice car - and for the K's on it a very fair price IMO.

Mind you mines in at TRS having a secondhand transfer case and front end bits replaced (cv? not 100% sure yet what went bang) from a seized VC.

Thanks for the info, mate. And from the info I can say it is not a soft-dash. The In-car Fuse Box is on the centre console.

Thanks to everyone who helped me regarding this Range Rover "Chic Magnet" Classic.

For a number of reasons my son and his girlfriend decided against buying it - normal story for youngsters - reassessed the situation and decided to "put up with the old car and save more for the new house".

The RR looked pretty good too. If anyone is interested in it, send me a PM and I will fill in all the "blanks".

Actually, it was good fun checking it out, I learnt a lot - and I have to say "There is nothing like driving a V8!"

Tombraider we must talk - soon.
