Wow, that's full on! Glad they are ok.
I did chuckle at the brake lights coming on when they were going down the hill.
Glad they came out of it without any injuries.
a comment from his writeup on the paj club website just for engle owning waeco whingers (not all, but some)!:
"A couple of impressive things, the motor was still running, the Waeco fridge not only survived but was also still running when we opened the back door".![]()

I would normally back down with low range reverse engaged to slow the descent. I think he had his foot on the clutch judging by the engine revs.
and stick my head out of the window to keep an eye on the rear wheel
......Mind you I've done some silly things driving forwards![]()

My Engel survived running upside down for 2 hours in the back of my rolled Disco and 5 years on is still working perfectly - though somewhat battered. It's good to hear a Waeco will keep going too.
That's a very nasty accident, you can see the Pajero's roof got rather squashed the whole length, so I guess no cargo barrier. Glad they walked away from it.

my money would be on an auto. Bet the other half wasn't as impressed as we all are, bit hard to take the kids to school without her wheels.

It just goes to show that no matter how much four wheel driving you do
(Four Wheel Driving is Dangerous) that Paj was idling
The driver and passenger were very lucky to get out of that one unscathed it must have been very scary
Ive been close to rolling out at Harvey and I can tell you it scared the bejeezas out of me 2.3 tonne on a wicked lean at the top of a hill is not fun especially when youve got to go forward and trust yourself and the car to make it down it one peice
Its all about picking the right line and that Pajero was no where near where it should have been![]()
