I just cant get into the Gym thing or going and exercising for the sake of exercise but I have a fairly active job which is now getting more active.

I have been on Medication which made it hard for me to do exercise as it made me quite ill if I over did it due the my heart condition which is now fully fixed thank god and the meds are tapering off and Im losing weight again slowly.

As my fitness increases, im increasing the exercise at work which means I walk around the course instead of driving a buggy etc.

The dogs cop a walk every now and then but it's not as regularly as what I probably should.

I dont know how people find the time for some of the exercise routines but I guess that that is what they enjoy so all power to them, I will watch

I walk the dog twice a day 45 minutes, run Monday to Friday 5-12km each day with a few sit ups afterwards, play pennant squash Thursday nights; depending if there is any surf of a weekend or a game of golf. The odd mountain bike ride for a bit of fun.

I try to eat healthy with a few binges now and then as rewards; not to much alcohol. But straight back on the program

For me it is a life style without dieting as such I have lost 70kg over 3 years by being active and sensible food intake and now have kept it off for 3.

    Cheers

Stevo...just take a look at what you eat also (as well as cutting back on the beer). Most of us eat well, as in the correct types of food in general. BUT...we all tend to eat too much. Maybe cut back on portion sizes...its damned hard to do as I'm trying to do it myself...and I LOVE food
Yeah I love my food but have changed some of my routine, like a healthy bowl of cereal for brekkie, generally a sandwich for lunch...dinner is my problem as I love a good din din's. Sounds like that is where my work is cut out , thanks for the advice,

    Regards

I was once told that us slower metabilisms should swap lunch and dinner around so have the big meal for lunch and say a salad or something for dinner.

This way your meant to be able to burn off the main meal and not let it turn to fat while you sleep.

I was told it but I didnt follow that advice, I like my life style so if I can lose the weight slowly with just being a little more active and eating the good food that we normally do anyway then Im happy with that.

You must have been carrying a lot of spare to lose 70kg!

I would like to get to around the 100kg mark, I am now about 115kg. I was nearly 118kg after Christmas .
