    Torqueflite trans wanted

I put this in Markets, but am also putting it here for those Aulrovians who never look in Markets.

Does anyone have or know of a Torqueflite auto. trans, converter and transfer case available or unwanted, as fitted to some 80's Range Rovers. Not a Ford or Borg Warner. Wanted for a project. I have an appropriate engine and would like to stitch up a trans before finalising purchase of the project vehicle.

You are looking for a 1984 to 1986 Range Rover transmission - yes I have one but no it's not available.

I have a complete assembly in the vehicle still Brian. It drives etc but engine is VERY sick. Apparently, a few years ago $2000 was spent on trans etc...
I bought the vehicle to wreck as it had new tyres and alloys etc.
If you are interested, as freight from Tas etc is gonna be a bit, I'll work out a price for you.

Justinc, Tasmania is probably out of the question. Freight cost would make it uneconomic.
Diana, I want the whole trans, with converter and transfer case.

Yes I have the whole transmission, but it is sitting in a 1985 Hi-line which is 99% complete (sans radiator) and a sad engine. Have been toying with the idea of keeping it for another 6 years refurbishing and putting it on historic plates as an example of the first of the Phase 2 Range Rovers. For the moment it is under covers in one of my sheds on the farm.

Series III cab/chassis & dropside body, with a Chrysler Hemi 6 265 probably about 250 hp, and auto, constant 4WD with appropriate driveline changes, 3.54 diffs. Series III is sitting in a back yard unloved and unwanted. Been there 10 years. Currently has a Holden 186, no go, no brakes. Asked $1000 at first, offered $500, counter-offer etc. now at $800.

Very nice. How does this setup compare in length to a straight LT95?Is that also setup for a Holden/Chev pattern?
    Cheers
